Dual Enrollment

Dual enrollment is an advantage to high school students as it allows them to get a head start on their college careers. Furthermore, participation in dual enrollment may ease the transition from high school to college by giving students a sense of what college academics are like. In addition, dual enrollment is a financial savings for parents, as the classes are included in tuition already being paid for high school.

PCCA has an outstanding partnership with Southeastern University, Christian University located in Lakeland, FL.  The dual enrollment classes that PCCA students will take will be on our own campus and a part of the students regular daily schedule. The classes count for both high school and college credit. These college credit hours can be used at Southeastern University or transferred directly from Southeastern to another college of the student’s choice.  On the high school transcript, these classes weigh the same as an AP class (5.0 on a 4.0 scale).

To meet Southeastern’s requirements for Dual Enrollment, the student must be at least a sophomore and must have an cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Tuition for the dual enrollment is included in PCCA tuition.  However, there is a $25 per class registration fee that must be paid before the student may be enrolled in the dual enrollment program.
